Pre-Cataclysm Event: Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane’s Fall

September 17, 2010

Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane’s Fall world events are now available in world of warcraft! These are two of the introductory Cataclysm world events. Head to Kharanos in Dun Morogh or the Echo Isles in Durotar to take advantage of these limited-time experiences.

I suggest everyone who plays world of warcraft should do these events on at least one of their toons, its great fun to be involved into a story plot that leads up to catalysm. I have taken part in bother alliance and horde side of the event, allthough I do not have a level 80 horde toon I could complete most of the event besides the big finish on the horde side. On the alliance side I was able to complete all the event and had great fun doing so. You will recieve a in game mail message telling you of the event and asking you to help.

How to start the quest chains:

To start the Echo Isles quests on the horde side,  talk to Vanira, who is right next to Voljin in the Sen’jin village in Durotar.

To start the Operation Gnomeregan quests, talk to High Tinker Mekkatorque, who is located in the Tinker Town district of Ironforge.

For anybody going for loremaster achievement you will be happy to know these quests counts towards the achievement

Rewards for completeing the event:

Alliance Side: You get two awards for completeing the event, one before the actual event that inolves the quest train and one after completing the whole event. These rewards are Gnomeregan Pride an Item that turns you into a gnome infantry for 30 minutes, this is great to have some fun with but the 4 hour cooldown is a draw back, you also get Gnomeregan Drape a pretty nice looking cape. After completing the event you will also gain a feat of strength Operation: Gnomeregan- You assisted High Tinker Mekkatorque and the Gnomeregan Exiles in the recapture of Gnomeregan’s surface.

Horde Side: The rewards for the horde side are Darkspear Pride which transforms you into a pretty awesome looking darkspear warrior for 30 minutes, You also get Darkspear shroud another pretty looking cape.  After completing the event you will also gain a feat of strength called zalazane’s fall – You assisted Vol’jin in the final defeat of Zalazane, recapturing the Echo Isles for the Darkspear trolls.

I suggest you do these events at least once on one of your toons before the event is taking from the game in the comming expansion. I had a blast with these events and I hope that blizzard will take the hint and put more of these into the game. Enjoy the screenshots.

Telltale games has just announced there adventure bundle 2010, the great thing about this is its only $19.95 and 25% of that goes to a charity. You can choose between 5 charites or leave it blank and your money will be divided to all 5. Plants vs Zombies secrets guide

August 30, 2010

Lately I’ve been playing some Plants vs Zombies on the pc. I love this game its great fun and takes up more time then you would first think. I have spent 12 hours on the game so far, time really does go fast when you play it.

I’ve decided to create a guide for some of the more hidden secerets in the game, there will be spoilers so if you rather find out these on your own dont read the information below.

After completing the game you get your own zen garden which you get to look after plants that give you money! With this garden you can also buy a tree of wisdom from crazy daves shop. You also need to buy some tree food to help grow the tree, this wisdom tree gives you tips and some secrets to the game.

Heres a list of some of the secrets note that you may have to grow your wisdom tree to access some of these cool features.

You need to type these words while playing the game, theres no console you just type them:

  • Trickedout: You get a diffrent kind of lawn mower
  • Mustache: All zombies get Mustache’s, this also unlocks the steam achievement “ask me about mustache mode”
  • Future: All zombies wear future glasses
  • Sukhbir: Activates a voice over calling for brains
  • Pinata: When a zombie dies it bursts out candy!
  • Daisies: When a zombie dies it leaves behind a daisie
  • Dance: Makes zombies dance

Please note again that some of these may not work unless your wisdom tree is tall enough. Thanks for reading my small guide and I hope you have fun keeping those zombies from your brainz.

See you next time!
